Help identify this revolver

Recommended Posts

So I was talking to my dad last night, and he says "Hey, you like this old stuff. I got a gun you can have if you want it." So I said "Send me a picture."

Here it is:

The only thing he knows about it is it says "Made in Spain" and "1926". I've done some digging, and while I have found quite a few Spanish revolvers from that period, I haven't been able to find this exact one. Anybody know what this is? What it might be worth?

If you don't want it tell your Dad i do.

And a pox upon you if you ever sell it.

Hand me down firearms are to be cherished

Oh, I'm going to take it, no doubt. I just like to know what I have. I mean, that's one of the reasons we get into this hobby, right? :)

And believe me, if it were a true "hand-me-down" I would never even CONSIDER getting rid of it except to leave/give it to my son. I have a Rohm 63 revolver my dad gave me that I would never sell because he, myself and my son all shot it together. It's the first gun my son ever shot. It's cheap, horribly inaccurate, and has a terrible trigger, but I love it nonetheless because of the sentimental value.

Additionally, I have a 1943 Mauser P38 my grandfather brought back from WWII that would be my home defense weapon in my cardboard box under the bridge before I would give it up.

But this gun doesn't fall into any of those categories. It's one he picked up at a show, or from one of his buddies on a whim, because he thought it looked cool at the time. My dad is one of those "collect 'em, keep 'em or trade 'em with your friends" kind of gun guys. Very few sentimental pieces in his collection because they usually don't stay around long enough.

We have several of the shotguns and such my grandfather got from Remington and Winchester when they sponsored him. I also have dads old single shot, lever action .22 that was given to him when he was 5 I think. It's an accurate little devil.

mike are you going to bring your grandson to the gunshow

He is debating riding the quad or gunshow. Trying to explain he can do both. He will probably come with me. He can four wheel in the afternoon.
