On his best day, Pope could not have penned this article, the information feed he gave whoever is his ghost writer is dead wrong as well.

Maybe they left in his redundant middle of the article tirade, but the first of it is way too coherent.

Here is letter John Harris sent me today and my response to him. Mr. Harris is very upset and believes I accused him of not trying to make revisions to the parking lot bill. Evidently Mr. Harris was talking with some Republicans that agreed with him, but I was talking about the ultimate leaders in the house and senate, Lt. Gov. Ramsey, Speaker Harwell, Rep. Maggart, Rep. McCormick, Rep. Mcdaniels. The facts are simple the parking lot bill did not have enough votes to pass. The problem with the bill was the private property rights regarding private employee parking lots. If there were any statements made by me in your paper that Harris was not meeting with legislators that was incorrect by mr Harris statement. He evidently was not meeting with the correct house and senate leaders. If he had the bill would have passed. If I made an incorrect statement about Mr. Harris I am very sorry. There are 99 members in the house and 33 senators, it is impossible for me to know everyone Mr. Harris meets with. I still support N.R.A. and 2nd amendement, but also defend Private Property Rights and I have personal opinions the same as Mr. Harris has opinions. Please feel free to run this letter from Mr. Harris and my response. Again , Mr. Harris worked hard to pass the parking lot bill, but it failed to pass this session. Bob Pope"
