You could set one up and see if it has the same problem. It could be as simple as a permission. Or it could be something that requires a fresh install. I'm not really sure because I've never had the problem.

That's odd. I still seem to have the copy image address item on Safari 5.1.5, still running MacOS 10.6.8. I'm signed on today on winders and don't want to sign out and sign in on safari and enter that reply screen to see if maybe the menu loses items in that illustrated context in your picture.

There is a top menu item Safari|Reset Safari... Wonder if that might do something useful?

Nope. Now I have to type in all my passwords again!:rofl:

That's why I didn't want to try the experiment to tell you definitely what it would do. :) But I have my browsers locked down so they remember as close to NOTHING as possible, so always have to type in passwords every time.

Security reasons?

I don't worry about it too much.

I had a guy steal my identity once. After going through all my personal information he sent me an apology letter and twenty bucks.

Look under the Safari menu, Preferences. Click the Extensions tab at the top. Do you show any extensions installed? If you have none installed, the bottom part of the window will be blank.

Nope, no extensions. It's blank.

If your Extensions list has anything in it, turn extensions off. Quit Safari. Re-launch Safari.

Fixed?

Yes - Finished.

No? Do this:

Go to Macintosh HD/Library/Contextual Menu Items. Drag anything in there to the Desktop.

Go to Macintosh HD/Users/your_home_folder/Library/Contextual Menu Items. Drag anything in there to the Desktop as well. (NOTE: this folder may not be there. That is OK. Good, actually)

Restart.

Check Safari. Fixed?

Send me a list of the things your dragged to the Desktop.

There's nothing there, but I turned it off anyway. Restart, no good.

Ridiculous huh?

Where can a fella get a new copy of his start up disk. Mine got damaged and the Mac won't read it now. I'll re-do the whole machine back to factory.

Which iMac model do you have?

e.g. 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo 2GB 500GB HD

I might be able to scrounge one up, depending on exact model.
