Range Report: Vostok CM-2

I bought a Vostok CM-2 this weekend but never got to shoot it at any distance longer than 25 yards. Took it to the range today to try it out at 100 yards with some different ammo. The groups weren't too hot which is my fault, but using Super X ammo I was shooting a group you could cover with two thumbs. I'm going back tomorrow to try and see if I can't cut the grouping down a little more with some subsonics or some better ammo. I'll post some pictures of the rifle and targets when I get back.

I'll try and find some of the Wolf and I know I have some standard stuff around somewhere. I have a full .50 cal can of just .22 so I should be able to find some. On a side note, what causes a .22 round to explode? Two of the rounds exploded in the chamber and threw powder back out and a little bit of white smoke. No order to it, just two out of 150 or 160 rounds. Made me jump out of my seat.

Paper punching is fun but shooting apples is much more entertaining. I took a bag of older apples out to snipe of target stands. There is just something entertaining about watching an apple explode when a hollow point hits it.
