They are out there, but the prices, unless you scarf one from a good lgs, are from decent to absolutely stupid. Any of the half dozen or so I've seen offered at gun shows have been hovering around the 750-900 range. Once the "shortage" is over, I plan on getting one.

The shortage just started. Ruger has never been able to keep up with demand for this one, they keep introducing new models of other things, have suspended all new orders.....and it's an election year.

This one was just decent, but I got him to give me two boxes of ammo. They didn't last very long

Yeah, they don't usually stay on a shop shelf long enough to be seen by more than 2 or 3 people, if that. And I may not get one for quite a while, but it's not like I don't have a 1911 or anything else to shoot or carry.

Nice,its what I was looking for about a year ago,alas I had no choice other than to buy a Springfield RO.But I still would have preferred the Ruger.I really like the stainless along with all the other goodies they added to them.
