3rd Congressional Candidate Campaign Imploding

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Scottie Mayfield (of the Mayfield Milk Company) has to be running the worst congressional campaign I have seen in a long time. So far he has:

Admitted he sees nothing wrong with the way the incumbant Chuck Flieshman has voted in Congress. He could not elaborate otherwise on his ideas/plans if elected.

When asked what his main agenda items would be in Congress if elected, he said he would wait till after he was elected to see what committees he would be on and then decide his priorites. Great, Mayfield wants voters to vote for a candidate who has no platform.

His son just got caught cutting the tire stem on the car of one of Chuck Flieshman's workers. This brainiac was caught on tape messing with tire. Apologies from the Mayfield campaign.

There is a Tea Party Debate coming up and two of the three main Republican Primary candidates will take part in the debate. Mayfield has declined to take part.

Mayfield has to be following the election plan that Fred Thompson used to run to become the Republican presidential candiate in 2008.

I don't know about comparing him to Fred, but it sure sounds as if he isn't really interested. He should probably

stay in the dairy business, ya think?

I grew up in Athens. Scottie is couple years younger, I hung with his older bro and sis some who didn't stay in the biz, Rob was in my scout troop etc.

Which all qualifies me to say: Mayfield is a great dairy. :)

Are you saying that he's trying to milk it? :squint:

I like the ice cream. Glad it makes it to middle TN.

There have been a string of these types in the last several decades in TN. When the people don't

pay attention and let the TN GOP consolidate power in a small group. The Howard Baker, Lamar Alexander

type of GOP is not one from which the people have much say. We need to wrestle the state GOP back

and have more individual involvement at the local level. It's important to pick the right delegates and

push for ideals more closely related to what you and I work for than to let power accumulate. The same

has been going on as the national GOP. We could do better.

I liked Howard and Lamar once. They just morphed into the career power hungry politicians. A natural

progression if you let things remain stagnant. Stir the pot up, from time to time.

Lamar is a progressive.

I would vote for the Mayfield Moostracks fudge ribbon for congress!

That's stuff is tasty, and better for you than most politicians!
