Met the nicest LEO in alcoa today

today in Alcoa after i stopped by Bills outpost and bought my New Polish Tantal, me and my Grandpa pulled into the McDonald's to get a tea, as we pulled in some guy with an ice cream cone in his hand looking at the floor slammed into the side of our vehicle, at first i was extremely mad but after the Officer got there and we settled it i started talking to him and we had about a 10 minute conversation on guns he was very nice ,i am glad there are some guys like that still out there working for the Police department.

They are out there! Despite opinions contrary, there are lots of GOOD cops. There's some dang fine ones right here on TGO. I'm privileged to know a couple of 'em.

One dirtbag tarnishes the reputation of many. It's a shame it works that way as many cops work diligently to maintain a good name and good relations. There's a couple of good cops here in town. They are friends and good customers to my family. ....and they will STILL write me a ticket! ...but I deserve it if they do and it wouldn't affect my opinion of them one bit.

Good deal on meeting a good one. BETTER deal you and gramps walked away. Did you spill you tea?

I have NEVER met a cop that was not nice or courteous to me. Not sure why people a lot of times have a bad experience with the cops.

Ditto for me never had a bad experience with one. I think alot depends on how your atitude is with them

At our recent Blount County Meet & Greet, the deputy that drew the short straw and had to respond to all those neighborhood calls about the noise was a pretty nice feller. Friendly, but dutiful.

I have never had anything but praise for Blount County SD. I know people that hate them and say they are crooked but I have never seen or had a bad experience with them.

Alcoa on the other hand must be trying to clean up their image. No one here ever says anything good about them. I also have had BAD experiences with them. Let's hope they are taking lessons from BCSD.

I had an issue with a Maryville PD rookie about ten years ago. I went straight home and got on the phone. then went down to the station Met A GREAT Sargent in the parking lot and he resolved the matter very quickly for me and I never had an issue with them since.
