I was driving through Lebanon yesterday and saw the shop. I've never stopped in and I had an extra few minutes ..... They asked if I was looking for anything and of the few guns I named they happended to have a 92FS used, hogue grips, faded night sights, 2 hi cap mags, $425 + tax & bg, $479 otd. It was one of the guys personal guns he decided to sell through the store. I said I'd be back to pick it up. I didn't have the gun cash with me.

I called today to make sure it was still there before heading out. When I got there and asked about it the guy said I should have called sooner becuase he just finished cleaning it and now he has to charge me more for the gun. I laughed and said that he took all the fun out of it and I would have liked to do it tonight. He said its now $450 plus tax. I told him that I expected to buy a gun that has been cleaned, especially since its from a store. He said he did more than clean it. He actually had to take it apart and give it a deep clean and that substantially raised the condition of the gun.

I walked out. I decided to refrain from being a customer of theirs, for life. I travel a lot for work. I'll wait to find something I want in a store that knows how to politely deal with the public.

I called them to price a few different handguns a couple months ago. The guy that answered the phone could use some lessons in customer service. He was very arrogant and quoted MSRP prices on everything I asked about. I was literally across the street from the store when I called. I drove about two miles to Lebanon Gun Shop and bought three handguns that same day.

I'll check LGS out next time I'm down there. Too bad I didn't know about it today.

Most of us aren't "tacticool" enough to go into The Armory. I went in once and won't be back. If I'm in Lebanon and need something, I go to Lebanon Gun Shop.

Occurs to me I was thinking about a different gunshop. I apologize to the Armory.

I wish I knew their reputation before stopping there. It's funny they wouldn't check their stock of glocks for you. They have 50-75 guns total in the store. It wouldn't have taken much more than looking up at the wall where the guns are.

should note that and say that it's TOTALLY a rumor. I have no facts.

You're talking about a different gun shop.

The Armory, which this thread is about, is in Lebanon.

The Outpost Armory, which is in Murfreesboro/Christiana, is in fact owned by the Barrett family.

Wait, really? Must have confused them, my bad. Redacted.

I've been treated very well by the folks at the Lebanon Gun Shop. The two times I've went in the Armory in Lebanon, I was made to feel as if I were imposing in some way. I'll not likely return a third time.

Lebanon gun shop's got their s... together. Very good customer service.

I agree. I went in there 2-3 times before finally making a purchase. Mostly worked with George. He spent a great deal of time explaining things to me and answering questions. They also responded to emails. I was treated well on my first visit and all subsequent visits (before even purchasing one item). I ended up buying a few handguns from them on a single visit. I also like D&T Arms in Rivergate. Though they seem to be more expensive, the employees are extremely knowledgeable. Guns & Leather gets a lot of praise as well. I took my HCP course in Greenbrier but the couple times I've been in Hendersonville store to shop, they've been a little busy and I've always been helped by an older gentleman. He has always been friendly but never seemed as knowledgeable as the employees of D&T and Lebanon Gun Shop.

i live in Lebanon and i've been in the armory twice and probably wont be back .. they do seem to be rather arrogant and rude to their customers, like others have said Lebanon Gun Shop gets all my buisness, they are friendly and very helpful i have bought a few pistols and a few rifles through them as well as having a few online transfers through them, and the one of the owners (David) informed me that they welcome people to come in to meet for private sells and provide a bill of sale and will run the numbers on the gun to assure the buyer it isnt stolen free of charge, a service i have used once with them when i sold my Taurus PT92 to a fellow TGOer

Went to the Armory once, made a special trip to all the gun stores I had never visited. Sticker price on a recent purchase was what I had paid out the door at my LGS. I didn't mind the initial guy who helped me but the others did seem snooty. I didn't have the greatest experience at Guns and Leather earlier that day either. Maybe it was just a bad day.

I had some Cerakoting done by a guy at The Armory in Lebanon. He did a real good job and I'm happy with the final product, but it took almost twice as long as he quoted me.

I bought a Minotaur Comptac holster at the Lebanon Gun Shop. They let me use one of their guns for sale to check the fit in this holster that I was buying. Most places dont let you do that for fear that it may cause scratches to the gun for sale, but they did . They rock ! They are awesome and very friendly. I will always go back there. Plus the lady there with the glasses is very pretty !

I have shopped there several times, and they were always nice to me. I bought a used 95% marlin 336xlr in 35 remington for only $350 there, which is about $300 under the new price. Maybe I'm just lucky when I go, but its a store I enjoy visiting.
