If the dovetail for the rear sight hasn't been enlarged, it shouldn't be a big deal to replace the sights and grips with original parts. The sights may be hard to find. I wouldn't be surprised if Colt wouldn't replace the sights for a nominal fee.

Then it took a pretty good hit in the collectibility department. Assuming it is mechanically sound, it's value would only be derived as a really cool, high quality shooter. Install an ambi safety, and I like it!!!

The WWI-style grips are not a problem as long as they are quality and wood. That rear sight milling is the big detractor. I'd say it will take about a $100-150 hit because of that.

um...its worth about 35 dollars as is, but because I'm such a nice guy...i'll give you 36 for it :cool:
