If you follow the instructions on the page, the above link will automatically e-mail every House member and every State Senator. Please take the time to change up the subject line and body of the message slightly, or the "spam" filter will keep it from being delivered.

The crucial time for this is the next two days, if these bills do not get on the floor by Wednesday, they will fail for this session.

We still have a decent chance to move these to the floors of the respective chambers, as there has been a lot of pressure brought to bear on House and Senate Leadership regarding the issue. A last big push is needed to show them that we are paying attention.

I appreciate so much TGO David allowing me to put this up!

Just got my first email response, from, Sen Ophelia Ford, of all people! Here is what they said:

Dear John,

As you know, the Senator is an advocate of "Right to Carry" laws. This bill will not make it to the floor for a vote because of, both, The Governor and the Lt. Governor.

While, yes it is true that we have many concerns of our own regarding excluded amendments and provisions of said legislation. Our overall position on said legislation, if amended properly, would have been in favor of it.

Legislative Assistant

Senator Ophelia Ford

I wouldn't have counted on her support of this bill...so if shes saying yes, I wonder what amendments she's talking about?

Done, and I added a little snippet to it...

I am beyond furious that Ron Ramsey and Beth Harwell are doing all they can to keep these bills from moving forward. Both people that I have supported in the past based on their promises of being pro-2nd amendment. Tennessee gun owners were asked to be patient, that this measure would be brought forward this year and approved, and now we are getting screwed over by typical, lying politicians. Pressure needs to be brought on them to bring this forward. It is not up to one member of each chamber to determine legislation. bring it to a vote now!
