Revolver you won't see every day

64oz 6" Dan Wesson .357.

I am waiting for a red dot for this but can take the rail off and use black or fiber optic front sight in conjunction with the target rear. I could put a pistol scope on it also. Heavy shroud made by EWK Arms.

As the President and sole member of the ISSF (Impractical Shooting Sports Foundation) I was out at a friend's house where he has a gong set up at 180 yards. I shot it a couple of times with my Dan Wesson .357 2.5" heavy shroud setup at 140 yards. Then I got to day dreaming. I called a friend in the gun parts making business and asked about a 6" heavy shround for my stock DW 6" barrel. Eric Kovachic, at EWK Arms, told me he had something sitting on the shelf that there didn't seem to be a lot of interest in and then described it. I got all tingly when he told me about the shroud with rail with iron sight option. I suspect now I need to find another Dan Wesson .357. I also think it would be sort of cool to do something similar with a DW .22 revolver. More on par with the weight of 5.5 MKII/II or 7" S&W 41 with barrel weights.

Castor, it does pain me at times as to why others can't see some things with the same "clarity" that I do.

Reminds me of old school Chapman-Bianchi matches. What you need is one of the original Helium lasers for it. Check out Helwig holsters.I think they are still in business. Don't knock "impractical " guns they can put the fun back into "capbustin".

I'm also partial to steampunk designs so yes I'm a little warped.

Cheers,
