Well, to be fair, he did raise a good point, he has no choice but to travel on the taxpayer dime whenever he goes anywhere. It's not like he can just buy a plane ticket and head off to the airport.

Right. Just one more "news" item that's total BS. The problem is that the real issues get buried in crap like this. All presidents travel, and it costs a lot when they do. I don't even blame him for the comment. he couldn't just call the "news" guy a dumbass, which would have been completely accurate.

It doesn't matter that he made the comment. Other people are making it. I have a lot of problems with Obama. His vacations aren't one of them. Didn't have a problem with W's vacations either. If I was doing that job, I would need time to decompress too.

I take time off at home but last went on vacation out of town in 2004. However, I hate traveling and IMO going out of town would be a horrible waste of perfectly good free time. Compared to traveling and living in hotels, it would be more fun to sit in the closet and drool in my shoe.
