I had to revive this old thread after seeing the following vid on TTAG - it's an "insect gun" that shoots a pinch of salt. I don't know if it's as cool as a primed .38spl and Cream of Wheat, but apparently there's a market for this kind of thing. Kinda cool, but I'm not sure it has the necessary thump for anything bigger than flies. I know one of you guys is going to get one, so post up your review when you do.

My porch has little piles of chewed wood every 5 feet or so.We used to whack them but not anymore.I think the polination issue is more important to me than a few holes in my porch.

If carpenter bees left my deck and fence alone, I'd leave them alone. I don't kill for sport.

Lots of other insects pollinate, and they leave me alone.
