GOODMANS GUN SHOW THIS WEEKEND

Apri. 14 & 15 at the NAshville Fairgrounds. Guess I'll go, in spite of the $8 admission

& $5 parking ( sucks ). Looking for some ammo & any other deals that might show

up.

Just speaking for me; I refuse to go to ANY Goodman Event!

Dickson Show NEXT weekend. I'm sure it's not as BIG, but it likely doesn't cost as much either.

I'm just looking for "deals" walking around with private individuals. Not likely to buy much off a Table.

I may. Finally going back to work. That can always mess with things, but the paycheck will help.

Pay to park AND pay to enter? Kind of takes the fun out of just going and looking around.

That doesn't bother me so much. Paying to park so i can visit the IRS... that bothers me.

Show to expensive with parking for its size, I want go there for a while. We need another show in Murfreesboro, it was a much bigger and better show with more individual sells.

I agree. With the attitude like they have I won't be going. Don

I totally agree, as does everyone else I suppose. A total of $13 to get into a show of this size

is robbery. Of course, we all have the option of not "reaching for the sky" when instructed.

Problem is, there are just not many quality shows in this area.

The Murfreesboro show you mention. promoted by RK, is one weird puppy. Their website

lists no show until Oct. Recently, The Tenn Gun Show list had a listing for this month. It has

now disappeared for the list, as has Hendersonville.

As some may have learned the hard way, as I have, RK is notorious for screwing around

with show schedules & giving no notifiation.

Suggest before you plan to attend any RK show in the area, make dang sure there is one.

Bad news is, the good shows, Tulsa, B'ham. Atlanta, etc., are a bit far for some or most of us

to travel.

Grab a tube of KY & bend over.

Thank Komrade Karl for the extra $5. It's his way of killing the fairgrounds. Guys like us will stop supporting the events and he'll have his way with it. $13 is a ripoff.

That's excatly what he wants to do. Kill off the fairgrds., so he can sell it off to his

developers waiting in the wings. $13 is a rip off, expecially at this show.

I went early this AM, was disappointed. Low crowd, somew dealers not there, the

older gent that usually has the large book display, was down to about half his usual table room.

A lot of the usual flea mkt crap tho. All I could find worth the effort was some silhoutte

targets I was getting low on. Didn't find the ammo I was looking for, went by Bass Pro,

no luck there either.

Yuk!!

What kind of ammo do you want? What I don't reload I buy online. You can buy ammo cheaper online than you can at any of the gun shows. Don

Rem. UMC target, w/ nickel plated brass. Just wanted to try a box or two & see how it works

compared to the reg. UMC. I checked prices online, and they were decent, but when you add

shipping & handling, not so good. I know gun show prices are high, but was only wanting

a couple for a trial run. S&H is a bit more than one box of ammo. There was some at the show,

but not in 40. May have to make another run to Guns & Leather, when I'm near there.

Although I scored some Ed Brown 1911 grip screws at the show, I was disappointed overall in the show. It seems that the $5 parking fee is beginning to work. Wouldn't doubt this show going away if this keeps up. Thinking about going to the show in Westmoreland next weekend.

The only show I've been to and liked around Nashville was the one in Murfreesboro...always thought the fairgrounds and agriculture center or whatever is out past Franklin...shows sucked and have never been back.

RK has a gun show in Memphis this weekend but the last few weren't worth the fee to get in. I decided to go to the ham fest instead.

I'm planning on having a look at the Westmoreland show as well. First one there as far as I know.

Interested to see how this goes. That's my old stomping ground anyway, not far away, about

20 mi. or so. $5 admiss. Not a lot to lose, compared to Fairgrnds.
