Hi, new to the forums, guns and somewhat to TN. In the past 2 weeks I've picked up an S&W M&P15 and a Walther PPQ as my first owned guns (both from Guns & Leather). Love them both and feel I made some really good (albeit expensive) choices! So far I've just been shooting at the Charlie Howell range (Owl Hollow). A bit shy about it because I'm well aware that I have minimal experience to share still.

The AR15 (M&P 15 ORC) has an MOE handguard, grip-pod (which is awesome and I can't imagine NOT having it) and MBUS sights as the primary until my Nikon p223 3-9 shows up (Optics Planet may have lied about availability on their site, but the free mounts means I won't cancel).

The PPQ is a new acquisition today and I went and shot it earlier. Really feels good, but I can't believe how quickly I burn through ammo with it! Traded a few shots with someone who wanted to try it out at the range while I tried their Glock 23. I am SO glad I picked up the PPQ. The Glock's magazine button bit my thumb every other shot and it had a lot more recoil for the same size bullet.

Any tips, tricks, etc are more than welcome and if you ever see a blond guy who looks a little lost at CHMR, feel free to say hi.
