Renew HCP by mail question

Do I send the complete form without separating any perforations? Do they send a receipt back while the HCP is being processed?

Yep. Got my receipt that said you can carry if you have that paper and a valid photo ID.

Yes, send in the form without separating the pages. You will get a receipt, but it is doubtful you will ever need it. I mailed in mine, and got my new permit in about 3 weeks.

According to several friends of mine who carry, they did not receive any such notice that their permits were expiring and had to call to request an application, or go by and pick one up, to actually get one. I'm sure I could be wrong, but makes sense that they don't automatically mail out the applications to those with permits about to expire.

I called and requested an application for a duplicate and received it in 5 days. My duplicate arrived 4 weeks later.

I got my renewal notice last year probably four months beofre epxiration, heck might have been six months.

I mailed it in and got the new permit inside of a couple of weeks.

I'm bout 4 months out, went ahead and called them to send one while I was thinking about it. If it's automatic, guessing it might be around the 90 day mark, but may not be perfectly tuned process over there either, might vary including none at all, wouldn't surprise me.

I was sent one automatically, it was close than 6 months but still plenty of time to renew, although I don't remember exactly how soon it was.
