That's why he must steal the election by any means possible.

And we know he'll do that.

You have a 2 x 4. One end is on fire, and the other has a handful of 16 penny nails driven thru it. Which end do you stick up your butt?

 Tell 'em how it is!!!

Neither?

^^^^REMEMBER THIS AND UNDERSTAND^^^^

Our nation was founded as a DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC.

"Democracy" is mob rule. Just what we are seeing in the middle east right now. And the current administration helped.

Incorrect. This nation was founded as a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

I believe it is a democrattically elected, representative Republic.

Either way, the motor's got a rod knockin'. You can keep pouring all the STP in you want, sooner or later it's going to spin a bearing.

A non-vote = a vote for the incumbent, whoever that may be. Your non-vote may put two more radical socialists on the Supreme Court which will do generations worth of damage. Think about that. There's a lot more at stake here than just the person who sits at the helm in the Oval Office. The repercussions for not voting for anyone can be just as damaging as casting a vote directly for Obama.

I think it's time for the people of this country to stop expecting to vote for someone to fix it and start pulling their heads out of the sand and start fixing this country themselves.

True but the country is suffering a major injury (namely, too many people expecting someone else to take care of them) and losing blood at a frightening pace (the government spending money it doesn't have to do things that, mot of which, it shouldn't be doing in the first place) ...the injury must be healed but you must first stop the blood loss; getting rid of Obama is like putting on the tourniquet...it's a necessary step; not a solution.

I guess the proctologist can see further now, huh? :D I'd be getting it lined in kevlar.

That isn't a possible answer...everybody is going to get one end or the other.

Probably so, but it doesn't make sense to vote for it!

Few things make sense because there is a blur between the parties, and when the government gets so

big it becomes difficult to dismantle. Insider politicians gave up on telling the truth some time ago, and

instead they tell people what they think we want to hear. It's difficult to read between the lines. Still, you

have to make the attempt to participate, or you will continue to allow it to become more of a leviathan

without you and eventually overtake everything until it self destructs. Nothing good can come out of giving

up a vote and letting it continue on the same path. We the people, before letting it grow any more, should

be taking things back, and if the usual route doesn't work, we should do everything in our power to dissolve

it and start over. That would be messy, but it's going to happen one way or the other.

Don't vote and don't bitch. Vote and get frustrated, and maybe if things don't get done right, force the

eventual conflict and live with the outcome. At least you tried one way. The other way does nothing and

signals defeat.

It makes a hell of a lot more sense than letting someone else chose for you.

Making choices for ourselves...taking responsibility for ourselves; that's what liberty and freedom is all about. Making the choice to vote or not or who to vote for is not dissimilar to the choice many of us have made to carry a firearm so that we can provide for our own protection.

Carrying is a burden...the weapon is heavy and can often be uncomfortable...you have to know the law about when and where you are allowed and not allowed to carry...you take on a tremendous responsibility the goes alone with carrying and all the ramifications that will come should you ever be called upon to use it. Frankly, I'd rather not carry. But, I've chosen to carry a firearm on me because I am not willing to leave my fate in the hands of evil men or depend on protection from an over-worked, under-paid, law enforcement community that will almost certainly NOT be there when I would need them the most.

But; if you are satisfied with someone else making choices for you then you will get exactly what you deserve.

I like comedians, but not for reality. Carlin has been funny, but he is wrong. He actually tells you

where the pols come from and then then tells you who you are and makes it funny by drawing

a bad conclusion.

That sounds nice, but unless you are suggesting armed revolution, it doesn't really mean anything. Our political process, i.e. voting, is how things are changed in this country. I think a more appropriate suggestion would be for people to stopping whining, pull their head out of their a$$, and becoming politically active. The far left does it so much better than we do, which is one of the reasons we are in this situation.

I think Plato said it best, "One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors."

I'll answer before reading responses. Then I will come back and chew some ass up, LOL

The only reason I can come up with to vote for Romney is the Supreme Court thing.. OS has me convinced on that. Without a doubt that one issue is the deal maker or breaker, depending on your point of view. No vote or a vote for Obama is going to change the fabric of this country for two generations.

if you give a crap about this place, hold your nose and vote for the Republican

This!!

And I view this thread as another whiney "If the majority don't think as I do I'm gonna pout" thread. IMHO you need to get over yourself. At this point the Supreme Court picks trump all other factors.

If I vote for Romney (or whoever the GOP nominee is), and we have 4 more years of the SOS, can I say "I told you so"?

Yep. I'm gonna pout, and risk my gun rights.

Sure you can say anything you like. The trouble is that people like me have said "I told you so" about Obama

when it wasn't chic to do. You have to exercise your speech and get involved in the process if you want to make

something happen. The people who blow off the Tea Party movement are not seeing anything but a forest, and

are willing to let this country go straight off the cliff. Shame on them for being so shallow and lacking upstairs.

That is a movement of real people who give a damn about their country. We may see the downfall of the Republican

Party because of their movement, and I don't have a problem with that if it's done right. It's called people getting

involved.

Sure, the internet is a great way to sound cool to you friends and sound so profound(in one mind, anyway) and say

things like "it doesn't really matter" but, like Mav said, you have to get involved because the other side is much

better at it than we are.

Use your damned speech loudly and proudly to make positive changes before the bottom falls out and other things

have to happen. I doubt you want a war or totalitarianism.

If you vote for romney and he appoints marxists to the supreme court you can say you told me so.

You're pretty smart, for one of them goetta crunchers :pleased:

For most of my 51 years I've viewed the Supreme Court through the lens of the 2nd Amendment, (they should have affirmed the 2nd Amendment years ago), and considered them pretty much so useless, but when controlled by the libs they become downright dangerous...period!
