use of cmmg .22lr bolt with gas piston ar?

It will work if you remove the piston rod each time you use the CMMG. Removing the rod is rather easy .

The piston rod will hit the front of the CMMG if left in and will not allow it work.

I have seen some grind the top of the BCG on the CMMG to allow the rod to pass over the top of the CMMGs BC.

I do think CMMG makes a kit now for the piston AR

Like Jeff said. Just take the OP rod out or turn the gas off and you are good to go. I used one with the POF I used to have.
