I wonder how Chief Peaster explains the fact that no shootouts have occurred on college campuses in Utah since their state legislature passed this same legislation?

After the second paragraph, I was sold against his article. He uses media circus and innuendo

EDIT: I was mistaken about the legislation. He was referring to the so-called "guns in parking lots" bill. I made a bit of a mental leap there as Tennessee is not considering a campus carry bill (or are they?).

no, its the parking lot bill, which includes college campuses. I still believe that students living on campus will not be allowed to poses guns, but I'm not 100% on that.

He makes the point that alcohol kills more than 10x more students than weapons. So is he advocating banning alcohol? No. Also, students died from alcohol even when it was banned on most campuses. He seems to forget that banning something is not like waiving a magic wand and they all disappear.

Illegal drugs are banned on campus but, there are many more people carrying drugs on campus today than would ever carry guns on campus if it were allowed.
