Thought my ammo hoarding was bad

Does this mean there will be a run on brass sheeting used to make all brass cartridges? I wander what is a normal government order vs. this order?

It looks like it's time for me to start reloading .40 and 9. I've been keeping the brass for all my guns, but only been reloading the .45 during the past few years.

HS wants there to be a slowdown on ammo buying by tying up the ammo suppliers so that the government get their ammo orders first, and to make prices keep going up where people won't be able to buy as much. They are aware of all the gun buying, but if they dry up the supply of ammo then guns are useless. Make gas prices higher and people don't have as much expendable income on guns and ammo. Sounds like a big conspiracy doesn't it. I wouldn't be surprised by anything these bunch of commies try to do.

DHS has 200,000 employees.

That comes out to 2,250 rounds for each one...wait that's spread out over five (5) years.... that's 450 rounds for each employee per year.

Doesn't seem like too much to me.

I'm gonna put my tin foil hat back up for the time being.

I suspect too that the ammo will be stockpiled. I seriously doubt they intend to use 450M rounds in that 5 years.

I wonder how much ammo the military goes through in a year?

How many of these employees actually use firearms in their duties?

My wife said I was hoarding ammo. I asked her if she would rather me hoard old pizza delivery boxes and Hungry Man frozen dinner trays instead....

Good question. Ain't been to an airport lately. Are airport xray jockeys armed and required to do routine practice and qualification? Or the inevitable army of clerks and bean counters?

...Management, Secretariat, Science and Technology, Health Affairs, TSA, Civil Rights and Liberties, Intelligence and analysis, Legislative Affairs, Public Affairs, FEMA, etc. Not all pistol toten positions.

I haven't seen their normal yearly ammo purchase amount anywhere. This may well be standard. It does sound like a lot.
