My stock Arsenal Saiga SGL-21, it's been great, and so much fun to shoot.

Be careful with that stock.

I've seen many of the Tapco 2 piece stock sets.

Thats disheartening. I searched forever and it was the only thing I could find that came close to what I wanted.

Any side-folder recommendations that are not AR style?

Ace, Red Jacket, Carolina Shooters Supply, or Stormwerkz work well. They all require cutting the tang off the receiver and using the internal receiver adapter. You might also find one of the Beryl style Tantal stocks and you won't have to cut the tang or use an internal adapter.

http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-STOCKS-dsh-SAIGA-CONVERSIONS/Categories has just about everything you need.

http://www.stormwerkz.com/StormWerkz_Stock_Adapters.html link for Stormwerkz.

http://www.robertrtg.com/berylfolder.html only place I know of to get Beryl stocks when they are available.

I have a Tantal wire folder on mine. If I cared more about my AK I'd put an Ace on it.

Since I'm waiting on the paperwork ;) This is a mock-up of where I'm going with the Draco. I think I'm going to like it. It's fun without the stock but the stock will make it a lot easier to handle. The TWS rail is awesome. I've used them a lot and they are the way to go. With the peep sight the sight radius is 4" longer than a standard AR. Love it!

The beryl stocks are a great deal and of course need no modification...when I was looking for a side folder, I knew I did not want to chop the tang. As a result I got the Beryl stock and loved it ever since. Locks up nicely, very stable under fire and stays shut.

Not trying to be mean......... but do you all think they are a sexy/good lookin rifle? I know they are very reliable and run forever with little to no maintenance, but?

You better watch yourself. If you want a high maintance troophy wife that has to have platic surgery every 5 years to still look decent ... get an AR. If you want the girl next door that just gets better with age ... get the AK.

Yes, they look sexy and if you disagree .. they will kick you tail!

No. They look like an industrial piece of machinery to me. I had not interest whatsoever in one. My boys asked if we could get one to shoot. After we got it, I'll have to say it sure is fun! It still isn't pretty to me, however.

And not one with an orange tip. Sorry, could not resist. They are prettier than I expected.

And it will still run circles around your .458 while you try to perfect your loads at $3 a round to get the same performance as an AK47 in an over priced and finicky AR platform! ;)

Well ... bye.
