I'm a klutz

Okay all, a little late, but I broke my leg on the 11th. I'll be mostly inactive for the next few weeks. Luckily I have good insurance at work. Not only are most of the medical bills covered but the STD is saving me from loosing a lot of vacation and sick leave.

Hopefully cabin fever won't drive me, or my wife, nuts.

Sorry to hear that. Obey the docs and your wife. Not necessarily in that order.

Get some rest and have a smooth recovery.

My wife has been wonderful and patient. Brought home a shower stool and I was finally able to be clean all over since the accident. I had finished most of mowing the lawn and was in the process of putting up the mower when I did it. Needless to say, I was starting to get a little gamey.

It's the little things like that that really make a difference.

I've been accumulating cabin fever for the last month, but for different reasons. I couldn't tie

my boot lace at work, one month ago, went to the ER, got an MRI, found a problem, got an

EKG, another problem and ended up with two stints.

After all that, I could still take a shower. It'll get better. :D

Ouch! What part of your leg did you break? How exactly did you manage that?

Combination of a twisting my ankle and a fall. Broke in two places. At the ankle, and just below the knee. Also ligament damage.

Two things:

First, I'm glad you're doing well (or at least as well as can be expected). Been there, done that got the T-shirt and the coffee cup & do not envy you in the least.

Second, I'm even more glad that I figured out that the STD you're talking about in this case stands for short term disability. ;)

Yep. I was about to say, I'm not sure my insurance even covers STD's :pleased:

I was trying to figure out how an STD was involved with a broken leg. I was wondering if that adult swing that was in the classifieds about a year ago was involved.

Yeah, I was thinking, "Broke his leg and got an STD doing something that involved a lawn mower? Must have been one heck of a wild night!"

I was not going to fire up on this , but now you got me started , STD's and broken legs are some serious stuff. You either got one before the other , what kind of shape is she in ? Arms , back , what ? Really , hope you recover soon ! Man cutting grass just got boring for me.
