I picked up my fisrt AR-15 last weekend at the Alabama Gun Collectors show. It was a big show, but not a lot of ARs to choose from. I think I'm happy with the one I found. I took it out to the range today for the first time. It's been 20 years since I have done much shooting with open sights. I will put a scope it at some point, but I really wanted to see what I can do with the iron sights first. I think I did alright for my first time out. Can't wait to do it again

Nuthin' to brag about, but it's a start. I was using a mix of Tula, Silver Bear and Wolf ammo.

It's a Doublestar and so far I'm very pleased with it. I have wanted an AR since the early 90's but something else always had to come first. I finally had the chance to get one and now I want another...and another.. :pleased:
