Ear muffs for a large noggin recommendations?

I've got a big ol' head. (Literally, and sometimes figuratively.) Like 7 3/4 and tall. I was known as "Head" throughout middle and high school. But enough of my adolescent trauma...

I bought some cheap Remington's, but they didn't make it past my ear lobes.

Has anyone with a similar problem found some that stretch far enough to do the trick?

Does anyone have experience with these?

I either shoot alone at an indoor range or at my brother's house, so electronic aren't necessary.

I don't need anything fancy, I try to be pretty frugal.

Not trying to talk you into electronic muffs but an advantage they have in addition to hearing background sounds and speech-- Maybe I'm the lone ranger-- If I wear non-amplified muffs it makes me more-than-usual "spacey" or "disoriented". Am naturally spacey enough without making it worse. I pay better attention to the other senses when I can hear.

My hat size is 7.5, so your head is even more freakishly huge. These Howard Leight top-strap electronics fit me fine. There are wire sliders that telescope up into the headband so they get big enough to go over the head and reach the ears.

But my head is not freakishly tall, only freakishly large. If your head is also freakishly tall or you have freakishly large ears, dunno!

Why not just use ear plugs? That's what I use most of the time.

thanks Lester. I've heard good things about them from Hickok and others, so I might take the risk on them and then sell them if they don't fit.

Just want something a little more convenient to remove and put back on. For instance, went and shot sporting clays with some buddies -- couldn't hear them between stations, but the time it took to put them back in was a hassle.

I also have a very large head and tall as well, size 7 3/4 as well.

I bought these ear muffs after doing some research and really like them. I originally bought them for use in my wood shop, but I now keep them in my shooting bag. I like them because they have a NRR tested rating of 30 dB. That is very high, but they are still very comfortable.
