Service Pistol Ankle Holster?

Hi folks,

I've in the past carried smaller pistols (example: Glock 30) on an ankle holster. The holsters in the past aren't 100% ankle holsters, as they sit tightly in-between the ankle and knee on my calf. Always have felt more secure in situations where I know my gun needs to be fully concealed.

I've switched to a full sized XD in 45ACP and am looking for such a think. I'm a bigger guy, and wear slightly bigger pants that I need, so have plenty of room. Does anybody know of a good holster for this type of firearm or think it would work?

I carry my M&P9c in a Desantis Apache sometimes as a backup, that's as large as a weapon as I would want to carry on my ankle.

You might check Opticsplanet.com and see if they carry anything for your XD. I also hear that the Renegade is an excellent ankle rig; but again, I just don't know if they make one for a full size XD.

See if Galco makes an Ankle Glove holster for that gun. I think it might be hard to find one specifically for your gun because most people can't carry it in an ankle holster.
