So where is the proper place for this sort of thing? I feel as though this Glock will turn up for sale and I would hate for any TGO member to acquire this gun not knowing it is stolen.

Where & how

When was this morning

Where was from my buddy's locked truck parked in front of the Marion County Court House

How is the drivers side window was smashed and the gun was removed from the console. The mag was locked in the glove box and was not stolen. There were two people who saw the break in and did nothing until the police started looking over the truck.

What is the actual serial number? Was it CML052?

Was it entered into NCIC? There are so many glocks and unfortunately guns are the few items that hardly get recovered, but I hope your buddy gets his gun back.
