georgia carry

I will be traveling to Atlanta on Saturday for a day trip and was wondering if there were any good resources that spelled out differences in state's handgun laws without the legal jargon.

I scanned through handgunlaws.us's info on Georgia and for the most part things seem similar on most points except that they are allowed to carry past gunbuster signs, as they don't carry the weight of the law.

Is there any other major law I need to be aware of that I am overlooking?

Handgunlaw.us is what I always use. They seem to keep things pretty up-to-date

the state is in control, so you don't have to worry about every little village having its own rules.

These are off limits:

1) In a government building;

(2) In a courthouse;

(3) In a jail or prison;

(4) In a place of worship (that place can override the rule, but in general, no);

(5) In a state mental health facility

(6) In a bar, unless the owner of the bar permits (bar means bar. Bar does not mean nice restraunt that has a bar, it means a bar).

(7) On the premises of a nuclear power facility

(8) Polling places (during voting times)

and the usual, schools and such.

Looks like you can store them in your car at most of the restricted places, I think that means in a locked box and possibly (??) unloaded.

"O.C.G.A. § 16-11-127

( A person shall be guilty of carrying a weapon or long gun in an unauthorized location and punished

as for a misdemeanor when he or she carries a weapon or long gun while:

(4) In a place of worship;"

Seems pretty unambiguous, what's the "conflict"?
