Looking for something different to do this weekend?

Would you like to learn the original recreation and survival skill of the early American colonists?

Want to Learn Rifle Marksmanship and History?

There are still openings at this weekend’s Project Appleseed Rifle Clinic at the Smyrna National Guard Rifle Range. We had a large group drop out so if we don't get more people to the line, we'll have to cancel this clinic. And we hate to cancel clinics, so we are giving free passes to this clinic only. If you ever wanted to see what Appleseed was about, this is your chance!

Do you know what really happened on the most important day in American history? Do you know that that date is?

To learn about these subjects attend a Project Appleseed Rifle Clinic. Project Appleseed is a program of the Revolutionary War Veterans Association (RWVA). Appleseed is entering its seventh year putting on two day rifle clinics nation wide. The RWVA is a 501c3 non-profit organization affiliated with the congressionally chartered Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).

At an Appleseed Rifle Clinic you will learn rifle safety and marksmanship skills; you will also learn what really happened at Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775.

In two days participants will fire about 500 rounds of ammunition. Most participants bring a .22 caliber rifle, but locally participants can bring and use up to .223 caliber rifles. Appleseed Instructors have 120 or more hours of training to become a full instructor.

Women pay $10 for the weekend, youth 20 and under pay $5. Active duty military, members of the National Guard and Reserve as well as Law Enforcement Officers and elected officials (ID verification required) shoot for free. All others pay $70 For this weekend only, everyone if FREE if you pre-register at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3081305267 .

(ON-LINE REGISTRATION ENDS Thursday evening before the event).

Questions about this clinic and this special offer – PM me or contact Project Appleseed Tennessee State Coordinator Claude Morse at – TN@appleseedinfo.org or (931) 247-5151.

If we don't get any people signed up by midnight tonight (Wednesday, March 21, 2012) we'll have to cancel. :ugh:

Use the "FREE Active Military, Reserve, and Guard w/ ID, Peace Officers (w/ ID), Disabled (w/ ID), Re-enactors in period dress, Elected Officials (w/ proof)". There's no charge on that.
