Which would you choose??

Thinking about getting another pistol. Been throwing around the idea of a M&P9 or a Keltec PMR-30. I currently have a HKP30 as far as 9mm goes. I've been reading good things about the M&P and like the way it feels. I haven't seen or held a PMR-30 before, but i like the look and that it shoots the 22mag round. I think i would be a different fun gun to have. What do you guys think, if you were choosing, has anyone had any expeirence with the PMR-30. Thanks for the input

oddly enough im curently looking for a full sized 9mm myself .. but have been looking for a PMR30 for months now .. if one came up i would probably get it instead of the 9mm im currently in the market for .. i kinda gave up my search for a PMR30 though until one just shows up .. very frustrating hunt

Might want to take a look at the Walther PPQ in 9 or 40. I'm planning on getting the PPQ in 40 myself. Everyone that

has one seems to give it great reviews. It's somewhat an upgraded version of the P99 that I had a few yrs ago.

the 30 has a hefty trigger for a single action. I started to buy one and that made me stop... its 6 or 7 pounds easy. Otherwise, they seem to be working now and in enough demand that you rarely see one, I have only seen 2 so far and the one I looked at sold in under 48 hours at the store.

It would be a neat gun, for sure. I can see it as an interesting carry gun for some people, but as a range gun, I dunno. Paying nearly 9mm price for the ammo, and at the end of the day, at the range, the only thing it can do that any .22 cannot is hold more rounds.

It depends entirely on what you want it for.

The M&P9 would make a good range and/or defensive weapon. The Kel Tec would make a fun range gun, but it doesn't seem to be very practical for SD IMO.

If I were in hemarket for a full size polymer 9 my vote would go for the M&P. It seems to have the best ergonomics and lasting design presently. Plus US made and lifetime warranty.

I'd definitely want to hold that other gun first but I'm really liking the M&P series a lot. The price is attractive if you have a LEO/Mil discount.

I have an M&P9 and have been very pleased with it. I added an APEX trigger kit to see what all the hype was about and it really brings the pistol to life IMO. Definitely worth the price if you have a few extra bucks to spare.

if you've already got a p30, you've already got a sweet polymer 9, one of the nicest on the market...if I were in your shoes, i'd go for the Pmr30 or even the Rmr30.

The M&P....Just more practical, if that matters to you...also check out the XDm 9...another excellent choice!

Definitely this. I've held and shot the M&P 9 full-size and own the PMR30. The M&P is a great gun, but a bit large for my taste. The 9c is more to my liking. As far as the PMR30, it's a great, absolutely fun range toy, hiking or backpack gun. Light and easy to shoot. Don't undestand Jonin's comment on the trigger though. i found it to be quite smooth, easy and comfortable. Not an overly long pull either. I absolutely love my little kel-tec. I've been offerred more than I paid for it, and I would not sell it.

And although it's not a standard for a SD gun, in a pinch, I would not be afraid to use it for that purpose. I would not like to be shot with a 22mag round, or any for that matter.

I'd say the kel tec under the circumstances. Maybe it's just me but thirty rounds of anything in a pistol just has my name all over it. Besides, 9mm semi autos just get kind of boring on the range if you arent training or dont have something else to shoot with.IMO grab

the one that you will want to shoot the most.

M&P9c would be my choice. I don't have one...went with the Ruger SR9c instead, but it was a very close call, and price won out.
