Ruger SR40C Comments?

I have gun money and haven’t been able to find anything and I’m having withdrawals from not buying any guns.willy_nilly.gif

I’m thinking about buying a new Ruger SR40C. I already have an M&P40C and this appears to be about the same size. Any comments on fit, form, or function from those that have one?

Dave,

I know it's not 100% identical, but I have the SR9C.

Fits my hand well, Depends on whether you want to use a pinky extension or not for a "full" grip. I started with the pinky extension, then went to the flat.

Width wise, it is thinner than my glock 19, but not longer. I disliked the manual safety for carry purposes so I switched to a glock 19.

I do want to point out that the SR9C for me, took some break in with regards to the trigger reset. After 200 rds that subsided.

Its a very accurate firearm, I alternate carry between the G19 and the SR9C. If your interested in shooting it let me know.

I have the lcp .380 and the sr40. Have put about a thousand round between them and enjoy them very much. Have had zero issues with the 40 but the lcp seems to get jammed every so often when I chamber a round. I chalk it up to it not being shot enough and since it is my pocket carry, I need to keep it oiled better between range time

The SR40c size wise is slightly larger than a Glock 27 but much smaller than a Glock 23 or S&W M&P 9/40. It actually feels better in my hand than the G-27 does, but I can't offer any comment on how it shoot's. I can say that I'm intrested in the SR9 and SR9c though due to the trigger improvemt's and overall QC.
