Disturbing recurring dream

Actually, it seems more like a nightmare.

The plot of this recurring dream/nightmare is always different, but the end result is always the same; defending my life with a firearm that malfunctions.

Anyone else experience this?

I haven't had that particular dream, but it sounds kinda like trying to run - you just can't.

I always have the one where I am trying to call someone in an emergency and keep misdialing the number.....over....and over.

I see what you're saying, but it always ends with me taking out the bad guy with a knife. Except one time when it ended with the bad guy being pushed down a flight of concrete stairs.

All the time. Guns have malfunctioned or just been completely ineffective. I have had dreams where multiple chops or strikes at opponents do nothing more than if a six year old hit you. My least favorite, I will be going somewhere and things will be fine, once I arrive it's like I'm drunk or something, falling over not being able to communicate, or even really function. I hate those.

Any one else ever have dreams your running but you can't really run well you strat using your arms like a gorilla?

Anything mechanical can break and I'm too old and crippled to run. That's why I always carry a good knife. As to nightmares mine mostly consisted of falling. So I learned to skydive and took up rock climbing.

Take not council in your fears. Face them head on and you will overcome them, both awake and asleep.

Had that dream one time. In mined I picked up a second gun. It did not fire either. Then I woke up.

I avoid such nightmares by carrying revolvers in my dreams. Sorry, couldn't resist.
