Didn't the EXACT SAME THING happen last year? An umbrella was mistaken for a gun at a mall in Mass.

My god, people are freaking stupid. :rolleyes:

Perhaps the pathologically hoplophobic see bad guns everywhere. I'm sure this will be twisted into some new reason we need to ban guns.

Need a new law. All umbrellas must be red or yellow to prevent confusion with "evil black assault rifles" Problem solved!!

Then we'll need another law that says red or yellow guns are banned to prevent confusion. This one will be state-specific, so you'll need to check umbrellalaw.us before travelling.

Yes, there is no problem that big goverment and its lawmakers can't solve. In fact, I often wonder if the left thinks it has such good solutions that it is always in search of problems.

Sort of. IIRC, the umbrella the guy you are referring to had an umbrella handle that looked like a samurai sword hilt. It was in a mall.
