Tactical Response is hosting "Sully" from Defensive Edge for their AR15/M16 Armorer course on June 2 and 3 in Camden.

This is a popular course for shooters wanting a better understanding of the ins and outs of their AR15/M16/M4 rifles. It covers the complete disassembly and reassembly of every component of the rifle.

More about Defensive Edge:

Course description:

Law Enforcement agencies are now deploying or are in the process of issuing carbine rifles to both Field Supervisors, Field Officers, and Tactical Units. With that comes the need of having qualified Armorers or Rangemasters to service and maintain these weapons on a regular basis, as well as teach officers in the employment and use of these firearms.

This course covers all M16/AR-15 weapons systems made by all manufacturers.

Armorers will be certified in the proper maintenance, care, and repair of these weapons systems, including semi-auto and select-fire trigger systems.

This program follows the Manufacturer's guidelines and is taught by FBI and NRA Certified Instructors.

The Armorer Course covers:

  • History of the Weapon
  • Cycles of Function
  • General Disassembly / Assembly
  • Identification of Common Problems and Parts
  • Nomenclature
  • Identification of Group Components
