Stripped AR Lowers

Recommended Posts

Where's the best place to get stripped AR lowers? I've bought my last couple at gun shows but my brother is wanting to start a build & he's looking for somewhere to go. Looks like the next gun show in Knoxville is a ways off & he's not wanting to wait that long...

Thanks guys,

Chris

I actually think it is cheaper to order from PSA and transfer them.

All the stripped lowers I see locally are $130+, including at the gunshow.

PSA stripped lowers are $79 right now, so transfered they would be $117. The $10 TICs is a wash, as you pay it regardless.

If you aren't in a rush, wait for a holiday and PSA will do a sale on their stripped lowers for $49. They generally have it last through a weekend or just on the weekend. You may not get it very quickly due to the number of orders that get put in, but you will get a good deal.

Not being in a hurry is pretty much a requirement for ordering from PSA anytime. At least in my experience.

+1 For Palmetto State. If you want to reduce the effecive cost of the transfer fee do what I did and order multiple. That way you spread the cost out over several receivers. And you have options for more builds once the first is completed. It also makes for a surprsingly effective arguement if your wife has her MBA.

I didn't even have to argue it with my wife.

I ordered mine on Black Friday. She was in the kitchen cooking and asked me, "Well, if they are that cheap, why don't you just buy two?"
