I think if you did a change of address form with the Post Office, they will forward all mail.

Depending on when you submitted paperwork, you might can call the TDOS Handgun Permit office and see if they will flag your permit and correct the address before they mail it.

They forwarded my car registration stuff from Putnam county to Nashville?

If memory serves me right you have to resubmit your paperwork like a renewal.

Only if you want the new address printed on the permit, yes. But it's not required as long as you've changed your address with the state, and it's the same system as changing your address in the system as for a DL.

Which you HAVE to do.

39-17-1357. Notice of address change. —

Within sixty (60) days of any change in a permit holder's principal place of residence, the permit holder shall notify the department in writing of the permit holder's new address.

[Acts 1996, ch. 905, § 9.]

The Post Office will forward all your first class mail for 18 months. The next 6 months it gets returned to the sender with your new address on it for their information. I think magazines or periodicals only forward for 60 days.
