It sounds like an accident. They happen..

Yep. Everyone says doom and gloom will happen when these things occur, but nobody will remember it in a couple days. Oh well.

Remember what?

The gun jumped out of the holster by itself and was trying to shoot an innocent bystander; it just missed. Luckily someone got it back under control before it could hurt anyone.

Probably sat down on the terlet, and it fell out on the floor... :D

I've had that happen. Fortunately it's in a good pocket holster, so nothing ever happens other than me getting annoyed.

And that makes me wonder if the person who dropped it in the store even had it in a holster.

I found the first line humorous.

Customers at a Publix in Murfreesboro survived a potentially deadly situation Sunday afternoon.

I found the first line humorous.

I survive a potentially deadly situation every time I drive on public roads.

Wonder why police refuse to answer if he got a citation? How many guns out there fire when dropped? I'm guessing someone dropped it after removing his trigger from the trigger guard and screaming "it went off all by itself."

I inquired about the incident the other day when checking out. Apparently the individual bent over to pick something up his firearm fell out of his coat pocket. As far as I know their policy is not changing but they are greatful nobody got hurt. They know alot of folks carry in their store.

What kind of gun was it? I want to know what kind of gun fires when dropped so I make sure I don't own one.

Sounds like he needs a better holster or just a plain holster period. Who knows. They might charge him with negligence or something similar. Glad no one was injured/killed.
