Well the wife and I went to the gun show today and really didnt find anything that we just had to have. So now were in the truck and driving out the parking lot and there sits a guy with a few guns on the hood of his truck. The wife spots a revolver sittin up there and asks what it is, he says "its German and im asking $50" Well as you can see in the pics the grips are gone the cylinder does not rotate naturally in sa or da, cylinder lock up is fair/poor but I would shoot it and the hammer has some slop in it as well.DCFC0089.jpgDCFC0088.jpgDCFC0090.jpg As far as the gun goes and best as i can find it is a German made HERBERT AND SCHMIDT .22 long rifle in sa/da made in 1966. The wife is a sucker for anything German made as she is truly a German girl to the core so she decides she wants this as a project (her first one). She gets the selling price down to $30 and we drive away. So now after spending several hours on google It seems that there is not a whole lot of info on this firearm. We are still trying to figure out exactly what model it is. On the but of the grip frame besides the serial # its stamped HN11 so we assume its a model 11. well all the model 11 info is for a single action cowboy style. If anyone has any direct souces of info about the gun and for parts The wife would certainly appreciate it.

That looks an awful lot like an RG/ROHM firearm. If its the same parts are still available.

There maybe some truth to that. I did find one website that said that Herbert Schmidt had made firearms under vaious names and RG/ROHM was named but this frame is stamped " herbert schmidt", I dont know really if it makes a difference but that what it says. Edited by z90HD
