I have a cz 52 that has light hammer strikes every now and then. It has a harrington firing pin in it now, it did the same thing with the stock pin in it. Does anyone know if I should replace the hammer spring or what the cause may be. thanks.

make sure the saftey isn't partially being activated with your thumb knuckle. You've probably done this since you swapped the pin out, but make sure the gunkey cosomo is cleaned out of the Fpin channel.

Mine was doing about the same thing and the springs did fix it.

Your not shooting Polish ammo are you? They have hard primers, sometimes have to snap a couple of times on a round.

I read over on CZFirearms.us that some were having this issue with Titanium fpins. Seems they don't have enough mass without stronger main springs.

Either way, it's been a couple months and I'm sure you changed springs by now. Did that solve your problem?
