I moved from Chicago to be in this great state that you can pretty much own what you want and CARRY! If I had to move I would keep my beretta special duty since I wanted that gun since it came out. If I did not own a gun a really nice 1911. Since you said you wanted a revolver for easy use why not the sw 500 :)

I'm with you, Brian. I grew up in Northern IL, mostly the NW 'burbs, and was lucky enough to move with the family, when dad got a new job, to TN in 1993. The people I work for would love for me to move back, since I spend about 40% of my time in Chicago anyways, but I've told them it's a no-go, and so far it has held. Glad to have you on here, and welcome. If you love Williamson County as much as I have, you'll be a happy man.

I've only been to Kauai but it was fantastic. For a vacation. I don't think I'd want to live there because you have to fly a jillion miles back to visit the states and planes are no fun. If I had no mainland ties and a decent income I'd be there in a heart beat. Take the job jump through the hoops and get a .357 revolver. I get the "free" argument and that works when you're talking Illinois versus TN but not so much if you're thinking Hawaii versus Memphis. And I don't hate memphis. I can think of worse places. Nebraska comes to mind....
