I finally got my US made wood stock in from Ironwood Designs, dyed it and finished it. Along with the 3 part trigger kit from Tapco, my Chinese MAK90 is now legally converted! What do you guys think of it?

Looking good, how did you dye it?

I used my own variation of some of the Rit fabric dye methods I found online. I played with combinations of the Scarlet, Dark Brown, and Yellow dyes and cut it in varying amounts with water and alcohol. I kept mixing and testing on a clean 2"x4" to get an idea of how it would look until I got close, then took the leap of faith and put it on my stock. It was a shade or two different than I was expecting, but I'm happy with the results overall. I put a couple coats of Tung Oil and some Howard's Wax n' Feed over the dye after it dried and sanded with some 0000 fine steel wool.
