I'm thinking about replacing my knife, what do you think I should get?

Not sure if this was mentioned, but I carry the Ontario RAT model 1 folder. They run around 23 dollars online, made of aus 8 steel and come in serrated or plain edges, black or satin blade.

It's hard to find a more solid knife for the money. If I replace it, it'll be with an esse folder once they come out with one, or I can find a used one I can afford.

Agree totally. Quite a blade for at least twice the bucks. Also has tip up/down left/right carry too. Rare even in many higher knife lines.

Good deal. I guess I have become sort of the blue light special blade advocate here. :)

Nothing wrong with blue light specials. I am surprised nobody mentioned the Kershaw Speed Bump. I really like that one, and it is inexpensive.
