My wife is 31 weeks pregnant with our 3rd daughter, Finley Faith. I try not to make her mad.

I've heard that gunfire and other loud noise can affect the baby. I don't see how the ear muffs on the belly are doing anything though.

It's supposed to be funny. She's not actually shooting, just posing.

Those are very witty poses, with the earmuffs.

HA! Funny, next she needs a pair of these that she can hook up to her iPod. It's never too soon for the little one start jamming to Sabbath and Zeppelin.

I love the pics! Very funny! :pleased:

When I was pregnant with my son, the very first time I felt him move was at a local racetrack. The sound and possibly vibration of the cars going around the track set him off. Then, about a month later, we went to the 4th of July fireworks and he went crazy in there! I also used a riding mower every week up until I was almost 7 months and every time I did, I felt him moving around. I can tell you without a doubt that loud noise definitely affects an unborn baby!

Thankfully, I did not shoot at all during my pregnancy, however, my son was recently diagnosed with "SPD" or "Sensory Proccessing Disorder." To this day, he can't handle any loud noise. It's like he goes into some kind of sensory overload and flips out. When he was a baby and toddler, he would shake his head violently from side to side whenever I'd run the vacuum or hairdryer. He's in first grade now and he still can't handle really loud noises. He won't even go to a movie because it's too loud for him. I always wondered why he hated going to the movies (to the point where I gave up taking him).

My advice to all expecting mothers would be to keep your baby away from every kind of loud noise that you can! Especially shooting and/or fireworks!
