Finally got my HCP

It took 25 days from fingerprinting. What a long wait.... Anyway, I am glad it finally got here. My wife's should be here any day also.

SAT 2/4 - HCP/Safety Class at Shooters Edge in Piney Flats. Mike Lewis instructor.

MON 2/6 - Applied for HCP at the DMV in Blountville.

TUE 2/7 - Fingerprinted at the UPS Store in Kingsport.

SAT 3/3 - Received HCP.

Totally uneventful process; the only negative was the 1 1/2 hour wait at the DMV.

Wow..that is almost exactly what i did...took the same class as you (and same instructor and same day as well) but i did the application and fingerprint on tuesday 2/7 in elizabethton

just took our class today, wife for her first permit and mine to convert an out of state permit. will be waiting until next payday to do the other half of it. glad its moving faster than the 90 days they say it takes in class.

I got my permit last Friday after 23 days. My experience at the drivers license facility was different. From the time I got to the counter to get the paperwork, my number was called in less than 10 minutes! I didn't even have time to get all the paperwork filled out. I was very surprised!!

Hardly a long wait. Mine took the full 90 days in 2009 but congrats!

Congrats! 25ish days, eh? Today's day 21 for me - still no permit. Hopefully in the next day or two.

My holster may get here before I get my permit.

My wife got hers yesterday, It took her 27 days and took me 25 days. Now I have to work on her to upgrade from her Taurus PT22 as her carry gun. All in time......
