This is why I believe race has nothing to do with slavery. This woman was basically enslaved by her "employer" who was also from her home country. I know this is a touchy subject but it just goes to prove that the root of evil is basically human kind's selfishness and greed.

Could be the charges of "slavery" came out only after the maid was in fear of being deported. Happens fairly often. Just playing devils advocate here since it is easy to assume the wealthy parties guilt. Then again if you lie, cheat and steal to sneak into a country illegally and then expect everyone else to be upfront and honest with you, this will happen.

True. The part that got me however was when she called the lady's son and tried to convince him to lie about her status.
