300 Blackout Optic setups

So as I patiently wait for my suppressor to come in, I have been upgrading and modding my blackout rifle. Where I haven't made any concrete decisions is my optic. Because the suppressor my budget is limited, but I would like to shoot both sub and supersonic ammo through it. That versaitly along with several other reasons is what drew me to this round.

So the question is, what set ups are you guys running to capitalize on both rounds out of your blackout rifles? Irons and scope? Mil-dots reticles? Adjustable turrets with "marked" adjustments?

Just curious to see what is working for others.

I dont have a blackout rifle but id think that either some sort of optic with a built in drop reticle (eotech, etc.) or maybe a scope for one and a red dot on one of those 30-45degree angle mounts would work.

Would also depend what ranges you shoot at and how much magnification you want. And what purpose it serves whether its just a range gun or something more serious.

I had Leupold put a subsonic reticle in a 2x7 I had. If I need to go super I rotate the turret to a paint mark and let her rip. AAC and Leupold are coming out with a scope with dual reticles, but it will be about a grand.

I have a 2x7 leupold I may put on it. I will be hunting and plinking with it. I plan on it being 100 and in subsonic, though may try to stretch it to 150.

Supersonic would be for 200 and in, but would like to plink out to 300 to see if could work.

Alleycat, whats the details on the reticle? Did you pick it or design it? What did that run? You can pm me the details if you prefer.

NM, read the article to the link you attached. Going to contact leupold tomorrow. Thanks.

I will still like to know what current users of the blackout are doing.

Made a call and Leupold is not putting those reticles in existing scopes and will only be available for their new line. That sucks.

Leupold has been installing reticles for years. Typically is setup for a 200 yard zero and you have a 100, 300, 400, and 500 yard dot that is calabrated for your load. I called and talked them into setting one up for a 125 yard zero with a 100, 150, 175, and 200 yard dot in a 2x7. It's about $70. The reticle in the post above will be in a $1000 + scope. I have heard rummors about it ending up in the new R scopes.
