Private message

What am I doing wrong? I do not know how to send a private message on this new version of TGO.

Click the members name and then "Send me a message"

Click on the members avatar ro go to the profile page. Look to the right side top and down about 2-3 inches. You will see 4 horizontal boxes. Click on the one that says" Send me a Private Message"

Yes the new system does take some getting used to. That's one of the few I've mastered so far.

One thing I like with the new software, unless there are multiple ways the new software's private messages can work and I'm only seeing one aspect so far--

In many forum softwares including the older TGO software, private messages are commonly handled analogous to emails. So if there is a long exchange back'n'forth between users in a private message, then there will be multiple messages in the "mailbox".

But this new software appears to handle private messages as private forum threads. If there is a long conversation in a private message, all the text gets encapsulated in a single "private forum thread". Which seems a very nice feature. That method shows benefits and at the moment I can't see any downside to the new method, compared to the more typical treatment of private messages analogous to email messages.

In addition, haven't tried it yet, but it appears that the private message implemented as "private forum thread" can include more than two people in the conversation. That is very kewl.
