Mississippi "concealed" carry

......Of course all of this is really moot as long as you have a permit.

Untill the law is clearly written to allow open carry, it's much easier to avoid the problem and expense of becoming the test case.

Kind of off topic, but a good interaction w MS DOT while carrying. I was pulled over for a road side inspection in my semi and wasn't sure about duty to inform so I did. I told him I had a TN HCP and had a pistol in my pocket. I asked him if he wanted to see my permit and his only response was "sure". Nothing more was said or done about carrying.

The law allows non-concelead carry without a permit. The trouble is it is not clear that a holstered hangun is not "concelead in part". But if you have a permit it really wouldn't matter if it is concealed in part or not since a permit allows you to carry concealed and there is no law against open carry.
