My Custom 1911 Grips

These are my new grips custom made by my brother in law. They are much "fatter" than the origional grips and have a better feel to me. The artwork is custom designed by myself. I think he did a great job and I absolutely love them.

Really different. Bet you don't see another set of those anytime soon. Do you mind my saking the symbolism of the designs?

The designs are based on my Native American culture.(Tuscarora) The thunderbird represents unknown power. The knife is represntative of my nickname "One Stab".

I think not. Until reading it and looking at it again, I thought we had a very nice sword & shield /knight type design.

Actually, that was the direction I was thinking as well. It did have a lot of hearldic similarity to Old English forms. And that's what it was...just not Old English.
