Does anyone know the difference between "Lo-mount dove-tail" and regular dove-tail rear sights? I am trying to replace the adjustable sight on my Smith and am having trouble locating a replacement. I went to Gander Mountain yesterday after we left the gun show and the gunsmith said they didn't have anything in stock but could order some from Brownells. Of course the Brownells catalog doesn't list one for the 4506-1 model but instead, listed it for the .45 and 10mm as the same part number. A member over on the Smith forum said I needed to know which dove-tail mount I had but so far no-one else has chimed back in to clarify it for me.

I don't know how to attach a picture here so until I figure that part out, I will have to rely on my/yours descriptions.... if you can make it out, it is the picture in my avatar. Thanks in advance.

Here, I am trying to upload a photo from my newly created album....

if you can make out the rear sight on this picture, that's what I need help with...sorry the picture is so small, I can't figure out to make it larger.
