The Grey

Went to see "The Grey" the other day and was sorely disappointed. The previews seemed to show a great action/survival movie. In my opinion, what was delivered was an artsy, liberal movie with a hang up on particular curse words and containing undertones of propaganda against "evil" corporations (particularly oil) and an outright disrespect for God (some of the worst language directed toward God that I have heard in a long time). Oh, and to top it off, there was little action and if you know you need a fire when it is cold, you're already up to speed with the survival aspect. I know I definitely don't need to look to Hollywood for sound advice, but I hoped they would present an interesting idea or two. I feel cheated and hope that this review will save some of you the disappointment (and the money).

They depict oil refinery workers as blatant crazy people. As a welder and refinery worker that is crap and booze and women are not allowed in Alaska man camps.

I enjoyed the movie, I understand if you were a christian how parts or all of it would offend you. While agree it did portray the workers as lowlifes, it was needed to develop the plot a bit.

I'm a fan of the movies that leave you hanging, so overall I thought it was a good movie. It was not nearly as action packed or good as other movies he has been in (Taken). I wouldn't stay for the scene after the credits, just google it and watch it at home.
